The Disability Action Transport Scheme (DATS) is a convenient, local service designed for individuals living in urban areas. Whether you need to visit local shops, attend hair or medical appointments, or travel to work, DATS is here to help make getting around easier.
How to Access the Service
Before using the service, you’ll need to become a member. It’s quick and simple to join.
To qualify for DATS, you must meet the following criteria:

Live in an urban area

Be registered blind

Be aged 80 or over

Receive the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance

Receive the higher rate care component of Disability Living Allowance

Receive the enhanced mobility rate of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Receive the higher rate care component of Attendance Allowance
